Just Launched, Meet Your New Dinner Hero: Ballymaloe 100 Recipe Sauce
Cook from scratch without starting from scratch: the new base sauce that creates over 100 recipes.
Ballymaloe Foods has just launched its new 100 Recipe Sauce, a base sauce with gently cooked tomato, onion and garlic base designed to make everyday cooking easier and more delicious. Tomatoes are slowly simmered and reduced until rich and full-flavoured, while onions and garlic are chopped and softly cooked to create a comforting, savoury base. Made with simple ingredients, the sauce provides the starting point for everything from pastas and curries to soups, stews and other family favourites.

Inspired by the familiar question, “What’s for dinner?”, 100 Recipe Sauce was created for busy households juggling work, homework, after-school activities and hungry bellies. It offers a helping hand in the kitchen by taking care of the first three steps of over 100 home-cooked recipes. By scanning the QR code on the jar, you can discover a dedicated online hub with 100 recipes, taking some of the pressure out of deciding what to cook.
Maxine Hyde, General Manager of Ballymaloe Foods, chats about the inspiration behind the new product: “We’re launching 100 Recipe Sauce to help solve a problem I’ve experienced many times myself — getting a tasty dinner on the table at the end of a busy day. As busy working mums of active young children, my sister Rosaleen and I know what it’s like to juggle everything. We wanted to create something that gives people a head start, with the first three steps already done, so they can cook from scratch without starting from scratch. It’s a helping hand for those hectic evenings, and I hope it becomes as useful in your kitchen as it has in mine.”
Ballymaloe Foods 100 Recipe Sauce is available now in select Dunnes Stores and SuperValu stores nationwide, and online at the Ballymaloe Foods shop (www.ballymaloefoods.ie) with free postage on three-jar packs and two-jar packs until 30th November.

Discover 100 ways to use the sauce on Ballymaloe Foods’ online recipe hub, or scan the QR code on the jar for dinner inspiration.
