Cork City FC has unveiled a new range of training and leisure wear produced by the club’s new clothing brand, Rebel Army Clothing. It is the only League of Ireland club in the country producing its own clothing, including match day jerseys which are being sold at a cheaper price than last year.
The new range goes on sale this week and includes training tops, quarter zips, tracksuit tops, hoodies, tracksuit bottoms, shorts, jackets and fleeces. The full range is available to purchase from the Cork City FC shop in Douglas and on the club’s website. A limited range will also be available in other retailers in Cork namely, Cummins Sports, Sports Direct and Elverys.
All of the products include the club’s crest along with the Rebel Army Clothing logo.
The Cork City FC home and away match day jerseys have also been designed and produced in-house for the first time and have been really well received by fans. The match day jerseys are being sold at a cheaper price than last year with adult sizes at €60 and kid sizes at €50.
Owner of Cork City FC, Dermot Usher said: “When I joined the club I knew from my own experience in retail that we could design and produce our own products. This would cut out a number of stages in the production process and give us more control over our product design and pricing. The fans are buying the jerseys primarily for the club crest. Now we can sell our jerseys at a reduced price and we have full control over the design, whereas before there was a template that we had to follow. It’s important for us as a club to be able to say that our gear is all designed here in Cork and we can pass on the benefits to the supporters.”
Rebel Army Clothing has also opened up the opportunity for collaborations and Cork City FC teamed up with Cork band The Frank and Walters for the 2025 away jersey.
Design plans are currently underway for a further range of products to be added in 2025.
