Little Island Business Association advises that the N25 westbound (Dunkettle to Glanmire Roundabout and specifically affecting traffic travelling from Midleton/Waterford to Cork city/Dublin) will be closed from 7:30pm on Friday 21st April 2023 to 9:00pm on Saturday 22nd April 2023 to facilitate the works associated with the new Dunkettle Interchange. It is planned to go ahead with the bridge deck waterproofing works at Structures ST14 & ST15 – see layout plan below subject to there being no deterioration in the present weather forecast.
This is a significant road closure and while there are alternative route options, the main diversion route proposed is via the Jack Lynch Tunnel, N40 and the Cork City South Ring Road for the N25 and the M8 traffic (see layout plan below).
Traffic approaching from the N40 and the N28 will be diverted via the Kinsale Road Roundabout and the Cork City South Ring Road. Full details and images are at www.dunkettle.ie
