Lidl Ireland is to seek planning permission from Cork County Council to develop a new €200m regional distribution centre in Wallingstown in Little Island. It is expected that up to 100 full time jobs could be added with the completion of the centre expected to be in 2028.
This would be the second distribution centre based in Cork with its existing facility in Charleville in 2008. It is understood that this new distribution centre is to service the existing Lidl stores in South and South East of the country and also the development of a range of new stores that the company is planning.
