Speaking at the launch of the event, Cork ARC’s CEO Stephen Teap said:
“We are immensely grateful to our sponsors, attendees and fundraising committee, without whom this event would not be possible. Our aim is to raise €100k which is our most ambitious fundraiser to date. Funds raised will go directly to build our acupuncture offering in our house in Sarsfield Road. Acupuncture is a complementary therapy that has been shown to enhance the quality of life for cancer patients by reducing the side effects of conventional treatments. Additionally, it can help boost immune function and promote overall well-being, making it a valuable addition to the holistic cancer care we offer. At the moment we are unable to meet the demand for these services and the generosity of our supporters will make an immediate and positive impact on both the physical and emotional needs of our service users”.
Brendan Keary, CEO, Kearys Motor Group said:
“We are delighted to support Cork ARC as a gold sponsor of this event. As Ireland’s largest family-owned motor group, Kearys are committed to investing in the future and well-being of the people who support us – our customers, employees and their families and the wider community. Funds raised at the ‘Celebration of Hope’ event for will make a real difference in the lives of those going through a cancer journey.”
