One of Ireland’s top law firms, Holmes O’Malley Sexton, has announced the opening of a Cork office. With offices in Dublin, Limerick and London, the law firm has seen significant expansion across all locations and now employs over 150 people in Ireland. The move to Cork will further consolidate Holmes O’Malley Sexton’s position in the litigation, commercial, insurance and corporate legal sectors in Ireland.
Speaking at the opening of the Cork office, Managing Partner Harry Fehily said: “Nationally, we have a strong footprint of indigenous and multinational clients. As Ireland’s fastest growing city and region, Cork is an important base for our firm and where we already have a significant client base. With a very experienced team in the new Cork office, headed up by John Ringrose, Partner, we are positioned to deliver best in class legal services for businesses and corporates that serve local and international markets from this region.”
The opening of the new Holmes O’Malley Sexton offices at 1 South Mall, Cork, will see the creation of 10 new jobs, from administrative to legal hires, in the coming months.
“We expect to increase headcount in the coming 18 months at the Cork practice, where new team members will work alongside our experienced and established firm partners from both the Dublin and Limerick offices,” said John Ringrose.
Welcoming the jobs announcement, Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney TD said: “Holmes O’Malley Sexton have a very strong reputation in Ireland and their presence in Cork will undoubtedly lead to more professional opportunities for graduates in the years ahead.”
