He is a former Senator and former member of the Defence Forces. Announcing the appointment of the new President, the CEO of Little Island Business Association Michael Mulcahy said:
“I am delighted to welcome John Minihan to the role of President and it is fantastic news that a person like John with his extensive business, state and civic experience will assume the role at a time of great progress and transformation for Little Island and I look forward to working closely with John for the continued promotion of Little Island on a local to global basis.
“I want to thank sincerely our past President William Cuddy who has been involved from the very start of the Association in 2012. His outstanding support and promotion of all aspects of the community of Little Island since 2012 and indeed over many decades before that is what has helped shape our business district into what it is today, a community and a powerhouse of development in Cork and Ireland South. All of us in the business community are indebted to his selfless giving for Little Island and I am delighted that he will be remaining as a strong supporter of the area and in all that we do in the Association”.
