Former professional rugby player Denis Fogarty will be lining out for National Business Machines, having been appointed as their newest Senior Account Manager. As a Hooker, Fogarty excelled on the pitch, playing for Munster, Aurillac, Agen and Provence, until a recurring shoulder injury finally sealed Fogarty’s decision to retire from professional rugby. His 13 years sporting career was not without highlights, most notably being part of the Munster Squad during their two European Cup triumphs. Over the last six years while not playing himself with the above clubs, Denis donned his coaching hat.
Denis plans to transfer his skills honed on the pitch; leadership, work-ethic, teamwork, strategy and planning, to his new role with National Business Machines. In his new role, Fogarty will be responsible for new business development and managing key accounts across a wide range of industries. He will be looking for avenues in which he can add value and efficiency to a business through their innovative solutions, software and Xerox devices. Denis’ core areas will be Cork and Tipperary but NBM operate nationally and across Europe.
Fogarty holds a qualification in Business and Enterprise from CIT.
