Business Cork is to announce details of a new business to business organisation and lobby group that will be established on May 1st to represent the 45,000 businesses in Cork City & County. To be named Cork City & County Business Federation, the aim of the new business organisation is to bring all sectors of the business community in Cork City & County together as a united voice and to have representation in the organisation from every village, town and suburb of Cork City & County. Michael Mulcahy, Publisher of CEO and Founder of the new business organisation said “we have been working on this model for over two years now and it is very clear that among the 45,000 businesses of Cork City & County who employ 265,000 people in an area with a current population of 540,000 Citizens that is likely to grow to 1m by 2040, there is a real desire for all of us in business in all parts of Cork to work together. Cork City & County Business Federation will have a representative from every village, town and suburb of Cork City & County so as to give a voice to every area. This is about representation of everyone and lobbying for the very best facilities, services, infrastructure and marketing for every area in North, South, East and West Cork. Cork City & County Business Federation will be appointing a President and Council to represent the business community and we look forward to unveiling the exciting plans for the new Federation of May 1st”.
